received on 7-18-2016, with no visible damage to cardboard carton, but 'heavy duty' case was dented inside from drill being unrestrained and dropped or banged against something before final packaging and shipment. Received annular cutters and coolant about a week later, and discovered that the plastic reservoir is cracked where the brass bulkhead fitting exits at the corner. This is a crack approximately 1/8 in. long propagating from the hole in the corner of the reservoir where the fitting exits (under the brass fitting). Looks like the fitting was installed too close to the corner and tightening the fitting cracked the reservoir from the feed hole to the radius of the corner. The fact that this is not an isolated problem, as I have talked to others who have had the same problem, speaks badly of the quality control or just bad engineering of this part. Not what I was expecting from a US/German high-end tool manufacturer. Hope they do better warrantying this part.

As a professional mechanic for the past 27 years I know quality tools & this thing is very high quality. I drilled 24 5/8" holes in a KenWorth frame in a matter of 1&1/2 hours, A job that probably would have taken 1&1/2 days without this mag drill. 100% American made & very well thought out design. The magnet is extremely powerful as long as you clean the surface of loose dirt & rust. Even the plastic case is built extra tough with 4 slide locks to keep it from opening in transit from job to job. The magnet on the coolant tank is nice. They want you to use a paste coolant when drilling on a vertical surface but I just stuck the magnetic coolant tank above the hole on the work piece I was drilling & had no problems with overheating of the cutters. Overall I could not be happier with this purchase.

Very well made mag drill, the only problem I have had is the fluid tank leaked right out of the box. Sealed it with silicone. Works fine now.

It works as it should. I like the thought that has gone into the entire product. The feed handle can be switched to either side of the machine. magnetic mount coolant tank is another added plus.

Great drill for the money magnet a little weak in my opinion
