I used the warm humidifier for the first time and this one is satisfactory to my use. I love the water capacity that keeps it running longer. Just have to keep it on a flat surface to keep it running since the touch button on the side trips if its on uneven surface.

I have had this humidifier for a couple of years now. It has never worked. The problem is that the water container part of it never makes enough contact with the button that makes the unit "turn on". So it never actually emits any steam. I hate to even have to waste the effort to put it in the trash. Do not buy this one. Buy a brand that you know.

Bought this because it was suppose to be quite and had a sleeve over heating element to protect from hard water calcium build up. I ordered a box of sleeves at the same time so I wouldn't have interruption in use of the humidifier. I live in Illinois. Winters indoors r hard on skin an noses because of the dry furnace. I have had problems with this unit from the very start. Read manual, followed instructions and the empty tank light stayed on. Got a cutting board and put under the unit and it ran for awhile and shut off. Long story short, the safety switch between the unit and tank malfunctions. It's stops for no obvious reason. Sleeve has to be cleaned ever time I fill the tank. Takes about 15 minutes or more.
The good news it is quite. Not the product I expected at $60, and $15 for sleeves. if it was $20 I would have expected the products inadequate functioning.
