DOES NOT SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY. A BEEP SOUNDS WHEN YOU SHOULD SHUT IT OFF BUT
YOU CAN BARELY HEAR IT. CAN NOT BE HEARD IF THERE IS ANY ACTIVITY GOING ON.

I just love this egg cooker. Perfect hard boiled eggs in 10 minutes and they peel beautifully!
Really happy with device

Really happy with device. I had an older version for several years, when replacement time came I did a lot of research of other brands, but the poking holes in each egg that most machines required did not appeal to me so I when back to Chef's Choice and am I glad I did. this machine is better than my first model. It's easy, fast and has an excellent "done" alarm.

This is great~ I use it very often. It's small and light weight so don't take a lot of storage space. The other function is that it beeps when it's done so I could just drop a few eggs in the morning and be away to do my make-up on second floor, I still can hear it when it's done and turn it off then soon. But I still having trouble on the amount of water I put it, sometimes I found water spill around the machine, maybe I put too much?
Best soft boiled eggs ever

No need to puncture the eggs. For a really soft egg, keep the timer all the way down, especially when making just one or two eggs. And not too much water either. Experiment, learn, figure out the water amount and temperature for each quantity of eggs made at once, then keep the egg size, and the fridge shelf where you keep the eggs (and the time they are out of the fridge before you start, and of course the fridge setting) constant -- it all matters (temperature and size of egg). I wanted no solid yolk whatsoever, and it took a while to get there, but everything is now perfect.
