... shown in the AD) gutter filtering system previously with great success in a Pine Tree rich environment
Paula Reuter✓ Verified Purchase•May 23, 2018
I have used an identical (as advertised and shown in the AD) gutter filtering system previously with great success in a Pine Tree rich environment. However, this product arrived as mixture of products and three separate densities of foam and poly amalgams. See photos. Which is which? I am returning it because the effort to install it is not worth the concern that it just might not work as advertised and it is only warranted on performance and not endurance. I am confused over which is the REAL GutterStuff EZ. Now I have to schlep all three boxes 25 miles to a UPS drop off. What a pain in the butt!
So far, so good....

I like the idea of this and bought enough for one section of my house to test it out. This section is not hung properly and holds standing water, so I am hoping this will prevent mosquitoes from breeding in it in case they do. There were a lot of small particles in the shipping box that made a mess on the floor, so I hope the product holds up well over time. It was easy enough to install -- I just compressed it to fit under the gutter hardware with little effort. I had to buy one single extra piece at Home Depot to finish the length, and it was different -- more porous seeming. I also discovered that Home Depot's was less expensive for the same size box, so I'm hoping the reason is that this product is the one with greater uv resistance and will last longer, but I'm not sure at all. That's the only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 stars -- how well it holds up over time will determine whether I like or love it. The concept seems great.

It's not only for guttering. I have an intense sparrow infestation. I have a patio cover using C channel beams and guttering. My first problem is the sparrows filled up my guttering making nests. Because I can't tuck in a cover I have to cut them to width and wedge them onto of the top of the guttering. Very uneven and tension makes them warp up or down in the heat. Thus letting sparrows fill the gutters again.
Using just the foam the flying mice will dig out foam tunnels and build nests underneath them. So using both foam and aluminum covers wedged in and pinned on top I can finally get my gutter to work as a gutter. I did have to cut out a channel at the bottom to let more water run through to the drain.
My second problem is the stinking sparrows try to nest in the c channel beams of the patio. Always sticks, (Bermuda) grass strips, and piles and piles of bird CACA fall on anything left out for ANY length of time. I've tried the pool noodles but these monsters can still get a grip on the ledge and will peck out huge chunks. They have even pulled out lengths of noodle. Determined little monsters.
With a little work these press into the C channels and don't give any kind of lip for sparrow demons to land on and has cured the patio mess.
It was my lucky day to discover these!

Sure beats cleaning the gutters

I've been using GutterStuff for about the past 5 years on a 15' gutter above my porch which cannot have gutter helmets. The GutterStuff works very well to keep the leaves out of this gutter during the fall. Every year or two I have the inserts replaced as they tend to deteriorate in the hot, humid and rainy climate of Northern VA. It sure beats climbing up to clean the gutters.
