Exactly what we needed!

We were looking for a solid set of stairs to replace our old ladder. Found these and they arrived quickly. Packaged well. Easy assembly. They're nice and wide steps. Feels a lot more steady than our narrow ladder did. We used the pvc pipe trick for anchoring and it worked out fine. Originally hubby had them zip tied as you see in the pic but in the end we moved them around to the outside of the steps. Not in the way and really it just looks like something you'd see at a boat dock lol Works for us. Great set of stairs!!
Tall deck? No problem.

My deck sits 61 inches higher than the pool bottom. After searching high and low on a set of stairs to fit, I decided on these. Works absolutely perfect. I also didn't want to use sand to weigh them down, so I zip-tied two 15 lb. dumbbell weights to the stairs in the back. This did the trick...they do not float. I'm very happy with the stairs!
Update: I purchased two more support mounts from Confer (~20 bucks) to add to the underside of my deck. (Yes, I overbuild...I know, I know). 12 teenagers splashing all around, and the thing didn't budge.

Super Quality

Super good Quality. The Instructions are easy to read and follow. For the people complaining about them floating.......the warning to put 40lbs of Sand into the Stairs is printed all over the Instructions in RED. These Stairs are also made to be mounted onto a Deck or Second set of Stairs (outside Pool Stairs). Since we didn't think we could lift these Stairs into the Pool after filling both......Pool and Stairs.....we put the Stairs in while our soft side pool was still very low and I filled the Sand into the Stairs with a Pitcher and a Gatorade bottle (bottom cut out) as a funnel. We drilled the Screws in with a battery operated drill of course. We are planning to built a Deck with Stairs to connect them to this weekend and will use Bolts with Wing Nuts instead of the Screws since we are planning to lay the Stairs down into the Pool during Monsoon season to be able to cover it more tightly. Also planning on doing that for Winter Storage since I don't think we will be able to lift them all the way out of the Pool during Winter. For us living in the Desert there might be some opportunities to swim even in the Winter......that way the Stairs would just have to be stood up. Again...............these are worth every Penny as far as there Quality goes. Looking forward to Entering and Exiting my Pool Safely :)
Above Ground pool steps

Exceptional fit for our pool, instead of regular sand I used the Black Diamond blasting sand from Tractor Supply. It is heaver than sand by volume and I had some on hand. It worked great the steps are very stable we did not even have to attach the steps to the deck, so now we can just slide it out of the way to vacuum under it.
Solid stairs that work perfectly in Intex 9'x18'x52' Above Ground Pool

UPDATE - We're well into our second season and the stairs are still very solid and providing easy use of our above ground pool with our deck. Still highly recommend the product.

After MUCH research I chose the Confer Plastics Steps for our Intex 9'x18'x52" Ultra Frame pool. Most of my concerns where that the Ultra frame pool has a curved bottom and didn't see any reviews or pictures installed in an Ultra Frame. Second concern were the reviews of it floating even after weighting with the required sand. I added ~10 extra pounds of sand during the installation and with the supports attached to the deck they stay put. I haven't noticed any moment even while the kids and adults are playing in the pool and causing waves, etc. They are also quite solid. I am 230lb and they support me with out any question. They have a cutout at the bottom that allows for the curved bottom to help place them closer to the pools edge / deck. Great product thus far. *TIP* I used straight edge knife to cut back the extra plastic moldings on the rails just to ensure the kids didn't scratch themselves. I recommend adding the Hydro Tools 87956 Protective Pool Ladder Mat and Pool Step Pad, 36-Inch by 36-Inch. (Pictured) It provides that extra protection for your vinyl liner. Enjoy!
