We really needed another surface and more storage space in our small kitchen, and we had a perfect place to put this island. We did a lot of research and considering different options, and this one seemed the most solid and functional for our needs. We wanted a surface where we could keep our (large) toaster oven without sacrificing a ton of counter space--this island has plenty of room for the toaster and for a large cutting board, too. The cabinet space is ample, too, and we have several large pans and dishes stored underneath. The cabinet doors and magnetic latches are not particularly sturdy, but they at least close properly. We have the island against the wall so unless we pull it out we cannot use the drop leaf, but at the moment we don't expect we'll need the extra surface. It IS heavy, which makes it excellent to work on, but it is not at all mobile. If we did decide to move it we'd put felt feet on it so it might be easier to slide on the tile floor. My husband and I put it together in less than two hours and it was extremely straightforward--all the pieces fit just right and the instructions were clear. It met our expectations and lived up to positive reviews--I recommend it.

My wife and I are amazed.! This is a beautiful kitchen island that fits perfectly in our oversized kitchen. We believe this could sell for more than the listed price. We absolutely love it. It came well packaged with no damage or missing parts. It took me just two hours and 35 minutes from removing the packaging to throwing out the boxes, Styrofoam, and protective papers. We also bought the two saddle backed stools which are a perfect addition to the island when need. We store them in the pantry until that time. We love the worm holes as it gives a little rustic edge.

The entire island is of quality construction. Albeit the sides and back piece is rather thin, I cannot imagine anyone kicking through them as stated in one negative review.

I received my packages yesterday 04/18/16. A day earlier than I was expecting and I was very happy! I read each review before deciding to buy this one. I weighed the pros and cons and then decided this one would probably be the best fit for our needs.
I am only 5'2' but this island fits me perfect! It comes to just below my chest area so I don't have to bend down or reach up to do any prep work or whatever I decide to do. My husband had no problem putting this thing together, I only had to help a tad bit by holding things steady for him.
The cabinets are deeper than I thought they would be. We were able to put 2 crockpots, of different sizes, inside plus a rice cooker and some pans. So it held everything we wanted inside and more! The drawers are the perfect size for what I needed them to hold. I was able to place my silverware holder inside and still have some room left in it. The other drawer I just placed my towels and whatnots inside which was also fantastic!
I am adding pictures so you all can see just how awesome this island is.
The reason for the one-star demerit is because, as you will see in the pictures, there is a flaw of some small cluster of holes in the top. They are on the leaf, and the main top, there are about 7 clusters of these tiny holes. I don't know if this is a defect or the process which it is made, I don't see it being a major problem in the future, but I can't give perfect stars if something isn't perfect.
Other than that my husband and I are extremely happy! So I would highly recommend this island!!!

After much searching online & reading countless reviews, I decided to order this. It was so worth it! It wasn't complicated to put together. It took my husband about an hour or so to assemble with no issues. Everyone that comes over has commented on how much they like it & asks where I got it from. I also purchased the suggested stools. They don't match perfectly but it's pretty close. On a side note, I purchased 6 baskets for the side openings of the island at The Container Store that fit PERFECTLY!

If you're on the fence about getting a kitchen island, let me make it simple for you....GET THIS ONE!

Winsome Wood S/2 Beveled Seat 24-Inch Counter Stools, Nat/Wht

I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed when UPS delivered 3 large boxes but putting this island together was rather simple. The instructions were easy to follow and it took me about 2 hours to get everything together.

It matches my kitchen pretty nicely as I have white appliances and a light colored counter. I absolutely love it and do not regret the purchase at all.

The only complaints are:

1) It wobbles. It's like the feet are uneven so it tilts back and forth between two feet. I am going to look at it tomorrow and see if the feet are adjustable. If not, I'll just put some cardboard under one of the feet and call it a day.

2) The counter would only line up where 3 of the 4 screws could go in. No matter what I tried I couldn't line it up where the counter had all 4 screws in. I doubt this will be an issue as the top is heavy and 3 screws will hold it tight but figured I'd mention it.

Still 5/5 stars!!!
