A good, well built, chimenea
Tony•June 23, 2017
A decent product. UPS left it on my doorstep and it took considerable maneuvering to get it into the garden because of its weight. I bought a box of lock washers and I also coated the threads of the screws with a high temperature anti-seize (graphite-based) lubricant. Assembly was straightforward though it is definitely easier to install the legs on the fire pit if you have a helper.
Performance is good. I generally begin with a Duraflame log at the start of the evening and add a log at a time (Home Depot stock) as the night progresses. I like the 360 degree visibility but it does mean that there can be a problem with smoke coming right out of the firebox if you have a moderate (2-4 mph) breeze. Everybody has to scoot around to the up-wind side of the chimenea. Only in really calm conditions does the smoke go straight up the chimney.
Overall, I definitely like and recommend this chimenea, just watch where you place it if you have a steady prevailing wind to deal with. You might find it worth experimenting with a piece of kitchen aluminum foil wrapped part way around the mesh screen.

Best value for the money.
It's cast iron and steel, it WILL rust, period.
The structural integrity is pretty good. My wife is piro and has tried to destroy this thing every time she uses it.
We had the chimenea for two years and have had 50-75 fires it's stored on the patio 1500 feet from the ocean. It's been coved by a American classics cover when not in use ( only cover for grills and outdoor equipment, will only buy their products, they perform very good but when they fail they stand behind their products)
The grates will get SO hot that they bend like potatoes chips from their own weight. So we flip them over every other use. The last fire and my super human strength broke one of the grill. No worries for the wife, maybe she can fuse them back together if she feeds it enough wood.
Looking into replacements, maybe I will fabricate my own. I think we will get one more season out of the grill before we scrap it, not worth sandblasting and conditioning since a new one is less than $150.

Visually impressive!

Visually, it is an excellent chimenea for the money. It was easy to put together and I did add lock washers that some reviewers suggested to all of the bolts. The instructions were easy to follow and it took less than an hour to put it together. I would have rated it 5 stars but the two grates that sit in the bottom are not snug fitting. I look forward to firing it up this fall.
Heavy-duty Chiminea

Looks good. Was easy to assemble. Well packed with all the nessasary hardware PLUS one extra nut! 360 degree fire view is nice, especially when the smoke goes up the chimney and straight up the heat plume so it doesn't drift into your face.
Excellent value and high quality product
Thomas W. Buchanan•April 21, 2016
My last chimenea lasted almost 10 years before rusting out, and we selected this one as a replacement. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the cast iron components (much improved over my last one) and the solid cast chimney (which is the part which finally failed on my last one.) I was initially a bit concerned about the "sliding" door, but it works very well -- much better than a hinged one in fact. The ash clean-out tray on the bottom works well, and allows for the creation of a bit of draft if it is pulled out a little bit. To insure that the chimenea stays solid, I did buy some stainless steel lock washers which I placed under all bolts (insurance). The only "con" I found was the the wood grate came in two pieces, and moved around a little when placing logs onto it. I solved this by placing two metal braces onto the grates, thereby locking them in place. This is a first class product and an excellent value for the money. (P.S. -- this is my first evaluation on Amazon -- and only being done because of the perceived value of this product.
