It is expensive, but it is a very nice chiminea. I was hesitant to make the purchase, because of the price, but I am really glad I bought it. I've had several chances to use it and it works great. Be mindful that if the logs are longer than about 16", they may not fit inside very well. I am going to buy a little electric chain saw to cut the longer logs that I have, so they fit better. That is the only issue I have had. I recommend this chiminea whole heartedly, and it sure makes for some great fireside conversations on cool evenings.

I replaced my cast iron chimenia that I owned for nearly 20 years, as it finally rusted out. This Chimenia made of cast aluminum is beautifully crafted, expensive and works perfectly. Time will tell how it will hold up to the weather in New England...I'm hoping for the best.

These things are sturdy and keep the smoke out of your face. Only good for one or two people snuggling up to the open face, but works perfect for my purposes. Efficient burn as well, and reduces my usage of wood for fuel considerably.
