Never would pressure up. Would leak water and steam out the side of the handle. Have second one coming under warranty but will bet it will have problems also and be sent back for refund. Very disappointed in this pressure cooker. Get what you pay for I guess. Better off spending a little more money for an American made one who will stand behind their product. Called company on problem they told me to contact place I purchased it from. Contacted Amazon and they are sending me a new one.

I used this for canning beans this year. It worked like a charm and I have many cans of beans to eat over the year!
It was a little difficult sometimes to get the lid closed and locked, and also balancing the weight from shaking too much vs not enough, but other than that it worked great. It was my first time (ever) canning, so I'm sure that in a couple years that won't even be an issue. It holds quite a few quarts, or two layers of pints which is nice.
