My favorite Curry. I add chicken breast
Anne•July 24, 2017
My favorite Curry. I add chicken breast, carrots and onions, and serve over rice. Been buying it for years, but its hard to fine in the Extra hot. Love it.
Best curry paste

This is the best curry paste I have ever used.
Best packaged curry there is

This is the best of the S&B curries that I have tasted. I prefer it spicy and usually have to add plenty of sriracha to make it to the level I prefer. Finding this was like a gem due to the ability to make a large batch and only need one package of curry. It blends very easily and has a very good flavor. I make curry at least a couple times a month and would recommend this to anyone.
We use it for an easy meal a couple of times a month

S&B is a staple at our house. We use it for an easy meal a couple of times a month. Don't be intimated by the "extra hot" label. It's not spicy at all. I usually prepare it with stew meat, onions, and carrots. We add canned new potatoes at the end of cooking when we add the curry paste, because I'm just that lazy. You can also easily place all of your ingredients into your slow cooker, and add the potatoes and curry paste at the end. When I use the slow cooker I cut back on the water by about 30%, as the meat and veg seem to release a lot of liquid during cooking.
Great taste, but the "extra hot" spice leaves something to be desired.

I've used this curry in quite a number of dishes so far, and I haven't had a complaint yet. I thoroughly enjoy the flavor, but I think the "extra hot" classification is an overestimate of the actual spice of the curry. I end up slathering a few dollops of Sriracha and crushed red pepper into my curries to make up for the lack of intrinsic heat from this curry block. Regardless, as I said before, I love the flavor it adds, so I buy this regularly.
