These boots are not adequate footwear if you plan to use them for anything other than looks.

What do you want in a boot? Depends on what you want to use them for. In my case, I needed to have mid-calf or taller black boots because I was doing a drama on stage, and the props department didn't have any boots in my size. While these boots are nice to look at, that's about it. I ordered the exact same size that I wear sneakers (size and width), but after adding in two insoles and very thick socks, I could still kick these off my feet in 2 seconds flat -- and this was with both buckles as tight as I could get them. I do not have skinny legs either, since I am an avid bicyclist I have large size calves. The tops are flappy and way too wide. A zipper and taper would seriously help. One would think that if you could stuff two insoles inside then they might have been comfortable --- unfortunately my feet hurt so much I had to take these off mid-performance. I hate returning anything, so I went ahead and donated them to the theater in case they could be of use for a fellow actor. To the manufacturer: add a zipper, taper the top, and review US sizing charts.

Definately not a fan of this boot. It's a little smaller then my usual size 10 in length but the inside hight is almost equal to the width. I put in two additional insoles just to try and snug it up a little. Also the straps a very cheap. The soles are great through and do the job. I would have sent them back but really needed boots that wouldn't slip in dirt. I will keep them for now until I find a good pair then place these in the trash. I would not order again or recommend these to anyone.

BOOTS FIT RIGHT . HAVE NOT WORN THEM OUTSIDE THE HOUSE YET. COATED THEM WITH BEESBUTTER RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX TO SOFTEN THEM . THEY WERE A LITTLE STIFF WHEN I TRIED THEM ON RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX . JUST COATED THEM FOR 2ND TIME 24 HOUR AFTER THE FIRST COAT OF BEESBUTTER . THEY ARE GETTING BETTER AND NOT AS STIFF AS THEY WERE .WILL TAKE THEM OUT FOR TEST RIDE THIS WEEKEND TO SEE HOW THEY ARE ON THE ROAD .
