works well

Having ordered this (2 in fact) and using them for over a month I am not impressed with the product. Delivery & packaging was great, but the case left much to be desired. (a) The hygrometers are way off and cannot be adjusted. Just between the two Hygrometers each is about 7 % off from the other and the lowest reading one is nearly 10% off from actual.(b) It's size is a bit cumbersome; if you imagined slipping this into a pocket for a short stint - forget it. It is much larger than it appears in the pictures. It is long enough with a little room to spare, however from what I have experienced, circumference wise, three Churchills, tops, will be it's limit. No doubt if you smoke shorter cigars, I imagine you could double that number by stacking in the cylinder, depending upon ring size of cigar(s). In the time I have owned and used these I cannot get the humidity to stabilize at all. The humidification disk is nearly always wet (visible) and I have tried drying them out, (BTW they do quickly humidify any other humidor or sealed container), but for that purpose I could have paid far less for just a humidification disk. This is almost like having a piece of plumbing pipe, only significantly lighter (aluminum) and much 'cleaner & smoother.' Perfect, if you want use it in an environment you anticipate your cigars potentially getting crushed. It has potential, if only the manufacturer had invested in a better hygrometer, i think you can find a better one in a Cracker-Jack box as a prize. Personally, I'd dispense with the humidification disks and just use the Boveda system to keep the RH in check. This item may serve your purpose, depending upon the cigars you want to transport, they certainly will not be crushed; but that's about it! At this point I would NOT recommend this to anyone nor purchase another. I'd look for a different product, and after reading reviews of other similar products from the same manufacturer, I wonder if I just got the 'bad' luck of the draw. Should things change in the future I will update.
