The oil arrived today, and has a Best Buy date of February 2019.
It now comes in a plastic container and says it is bottled in Kalamata but no information about the olives.
If you go to the website, it lists lots of products but no information on cost or flavor.

All of our Kalamata Extra Virgin Olive Oils are pressed from Koroneiki olives, and from groves located on the slopes of Mount Taygetus located in the South of the Peloponnese east of Kalamata.
Ideal for fresh salads, grilled fish, white meat, raw sauces, pasta and vegetables.

This unfortunately doesn't tell you a whole lot.

Excellent olive oil. I would like to clarify that this is NOT a "green" or "grassy" olive oil like california ranch olive oils. Those olive oils are best suited for salads in my mind, where you want a very clean olive oil with not much peppery flavor. This is a great finishing olive oil with a peppery finish at the end. I prefer it for pizza/pasta type dishes. You'll know it's there, unlike some olive oils that subtly complement a dish, this one stands out. It doesn't dominate, but it's there.

Also be aware: 3 liters is a lot of olive oil to go through...but with it tasting so good I've managed to do so.

This is great olive oil, almost as good as the best commercial oils out there (Terra Creta, Horio, etc). The fact that it's readily available at Central Market and Amazon is just icing on the cake. I have to say, though, I am very unhappy with JF Distributions and the fact that they bubble-wrapped a heavily dented item and sold it as-is without warning. Picture attached to this review. The tin leaked a little oil which is not good as that implies air entered the container at an indeterminate point in time. When I opened the spout, I noticed there was no plastic seal inside. I can't remember if there ought to be one or if the scored seal that the dark green plastic handles make with the surrounding ring is what is supposed to identify it as "new". I'll be using this for cooking only and should probably get another bottle for raw applications. I could have returned it but ...

Better than you can imagine olive oil may taste like. Absolutely beautifully rich, fragrant and will envelope you in what true olive oil is all about. Please buy it.....or any other pure olive oil. Nothing like the grocery store oils you find because they are blends of olive oils. Get the real stuff! Taste the real deal! I have never been able to eat olives. Just never found any that didn't have an obnoxious taste or that were anything special. I've used olive oiI for a long time. When I went to Greece, I fell in love with olives and olive oil there. Still when I got back to the US, I find that olives available here just don't measure up. I've searched hard to find Greek olive oil on grocery store shelves here in the US. Finally, I located a bottle of this Iliada. It was slightly pricey, but nothing compared to the outrageous prices asked for Italian varieties that just aren't as good. I find Iliada to be far tastier than oils from Spain and Italy. I love the dark green color and the rich flavor. It's not overpowering, but smooth. My order was delivered by an individual in a car, I guess delivering grocery orders. The price for this giant can is just outstanding too.
