its awesome..

its awesome...and it came with the exception of the pedals and handlebars, completely assembled. I use it to go to work via NJ Transit during peak hours and have no problem whatsoever bringing it on the train. It's a little heavier then my Marin 24 speed and I wish there was more gears but non the less it's awesome
NOT GOOD. I have taken it to two bike shops ...

I have owned this bike for about two years and initially wrote a positive review. But it has had a constant problem and support from Montague it appears has come to an end and they still have my bike! The front forks are held on with clamp that is part of the retractable handle bars. The clamp does not hold the forks tight enough an it works loose. It loosens up very quick and if you don't tighten it up about ever ten miles it will lossen up enough that the handle bars will eventually come off. NOT GOOD. I have taken it to two bike shops they work on it but it is still the same. I calIed montague support and they had me ship it to Seattle. It came back still working the same except the the handle bars won't retact properly now. Montague now had me send it back to Connecticut they have had it over a month and now will not respond to calls our emails. To tighten it is not just turning a bolt you have to lossen the handle bars put considerable down pressure on the forks while tightening the handle bars back up. Not what you would expect from such an expensive bike.
Nice $450.00 bike

It is a neat bike but based on the components included it is too expensive
Compared to my old Montague X series I feel brakes are inadequate for the speed capability of the 700c wheels and their tech support only said they never had this problem before... maybe I should buy new pads
I think they could do a better job designing a way to mount rear racks, I was able to jerry-rig a seat stem bracket for mounting the front brackets of a Topeak EXPLORER Rack, but for the price of this bike, forward rack mounting lugs is something they should be on the bike
The Montigue Optional quick release fenders are a joke, they offer little protection from splashing... don't bother buying them
Nice $450.00 bike, but not worth the asking price

A bike that'll travel to where you want to ride.

I own and ride a 21" Crosstown and love it. Unless you have a penchant for shifting gears unnecessarily, the gear range of the Crosstown
is plenty adequate. The low and high gears are comparable to my 27-speed bikes. Quality of parts and construction is good. The trunk of
any of the mid-size sedans will easily hold a Montague.

The foldable bike is awesome. It fits in the back of my Prius

The foldable bike is awesome. It fits in the back of my Prius. I park the car about 15 minutes away from work and bike to work on most days. The only nitpicky thing was that the front wheel assembly didn't come fully adjusted to fit in the tire. Since I dont have the tools, I had to bring it in to a local bike shop to make the needed adjustments before I could start riding.
