Poor locking mechanism

The packing for this product is flimsy. Very thin styrofoam corner pieces that all arrived in bits. First safe was damaged in transit. Second safe had little quality control. The locking bolts extended past the interior side by approximately 1/16 inch. As a result the door, when locked, could be opened without the combination or key with virtually no effort. Size is great, construction is not.
No access keys, no manual, no batteries.

I received the safe, unfortunately, no override key and no AA batteries. Which means that I can't even open the safe and can't use it. I downloaded the user guide from the official website, it says the package include safe, user manual, batteries and access keys. I received nothing except the safe that I can't even open...

Not what you'd expect from a brand like Honeywell. The quality is horrendous: Deadbolts don't align with the holes so the safe doesn't lock, sheet metal is so thin you could probably open it with a hammer. Should've bought one from SentrySafe.
All I gotta say is UPS better come pick this POS up from my house cuz ...

Well of course the safe was delivered dented up.... the batteries that came with it were crushed so I had to use new ones. Whatever. I go to set the passcode and it wouldn't allow me to. It locked me out and I had to wait 5 min... waited 5min and tried again. It would say "open" but then when I go to lock it with the passcode it tells me it's a wrong passcode...locked out again... then it comes up with a code that isn't listed in their 2 paragraph trouble shooting manual. "e-Bar" which evidently means (after googling) that there's something wrong with an internal mechanism. Of course Honeywell's customer service closed ten minutes after I realized there was an issue. So no help there as of tonight. I really don't care about the dents, I just want this POS to work. I'm going to attempt to give this item NO stars but idk if amazon allows that. All I gotta say is UPS better come pick this POS up from my house cuz I am not about to carry this heavy freakin safe down 19 stairs, load it up, unload it, and bring it into a UPS store, all while hoping that the next one doesn't come messed up. I'd love to use curse words throughout my rant, but amazon probably doesn't allow it. So just use your imagination as to how irate I am right now and add curse words in every other word. That's about right.

If you position this safe with the keypad facing up, the batteries which control the keypad will shift out of position. The power will drain and the safe will beep perpetually until the batteries are dead. Attempting to secure batteries with foam and wood chips didn't work for me. Your mileage may vary. Also, if you think you'll ever need to order a replacement key, be sure to save your packing slip. Replacement keys are available, but you must supply:
1.) Model number and/or key number of your safe. To be written on form.
2.) Copy of your picture I.D. (Drivers license, passport, regular I.D.) **MANDATORY**
3.) Copy of your receipt, invoice, or packing slip.
4.) Notary form notarized. (please read note below).
***NOTE***: Notary form MUST be notarized only if a receipt, invoice, or packing slip CANNOT be provided.
