Super Sharp

Effortless grating. I got the NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves as suggested. Good thing I did. This grater is sharp, sharp sharp. I use one side almost exclusively, always have probably always will. Consequently, I've left the protective tape over the other three sides for safe handling. It is sturdy. I don't particularly like the stopper on the bottom. I find it is awkward to get off and replace. It's an accident waiting to happen. It is possible that I will become more adept at this with repeated use.

... had been shopping for a grater for quite a while. All the retailers carried the same few items. I took a flier on this one ... mostly because it was different. It is definitely more efficient than conventional graters. Most significantly, I include grated onion in making guacamole ... and this baby is at least an order of magnitude more efficient than a "conventional" grater when it comes to onions ... and getting the job done quickly when dealing with an onion is really important. I didn't go 5 stars because the instructions said that it was dishwasher safe ... but NOT recommended for such treatment. Made in Canada ... go figure.
Sturdy, super sharp

I'm not a person that usually leaves feed back, however in this case, I thought it was needed. Not because it's a bad product, just the opposite. It is in fact the best grater I've ever used. It grates and slices cheese and potatoes(only things I've used it for so far)like nothing I've used other than maybe a food processor. No, I only wanted to make sure people who are buying this understand just how sharp these cutting surfaces are. If the user isn't really careful you'll cut yourself to the bone before you know what's happened. It is NOT safe for children.
If you're looking for a well made, sturdy, sharp grater/slicer, you'll be hard pressed to find a better one. Just keep track of your fingers, knuckles...

Easy to use and VERY sharp

Does a great job of shredding several different sizes. Very sharp. That is good and bad...could be very easy to maim yourself if not paying attention. Perhaps there is some attachment that could be included that could improve gripping small pieces safely. That is the reason I did not give it a 5 star rating.
A greater grater

I had the older Cuisipro Accutec 3-Sided Box Grater that I loved, but the handle design was flawed and it eventually snapped off where the handle met the top of the grater. I was happy to see that the replacement 4-Sided model has the metal continue up to the top of the handle, making the high stress areas stainless steel and much less likely to break.
The grater works wonderfully and is razor sharp. The smaller sides use "microplane" style blades and work wonderfully for hard cheeses like Parmesan or Romano. The largest side uses more traditional style blades, but is still very sharp and works well on most cheeses.
The bottom cover is great for collecting cheese as it is grated. It has a ginger grinder surface built in which I haven't tried yet, but the nubs are pretty small so I'm not sure how effective it would be. Still, even for just the two smaller sides, I would highly recommend this grater.
