Product was easy to install with proper bolting areas but the lock turn handle is a bit cheap built. should have been better built since that is how you will have to open and close for the life of the safe

I bought this a a Christmas present for my parents. The construction of the safe is pretty solid. Was delivered on time and in good condition. Only thing I didn't like was you had to go online to look at the owners manual. Also, don't know if it was me or the keypad but it took about 20 minutes messing around with it to get it programmed but after that it was fine.
The safe itself seems sturdy but the locking panel appears pretty weak

The safe itself seems sturdy but the locking panel appears pretty weak. For the price, I thought it was an excellent choice. While I think it wouldn't take a whole lot to break it open, if that was your intent, I think it will be suited for our needs as a safe, dry, fire resistant place for documents and miscellaneous.
failed keypad / locking mechanism

I bought this safe about 3 years ago and the keypad began glitching about 6 months ago. Works sometimes but won't most of the time. I contacted Paragon and they eventually asked me to ship it to them at my cost for repair or replacement. It's going to cost about $100 to ship, this is a manufacturers defect and yet I must pay to ship to them????? Stay away, there are several reviews about the keypad/locking mechanism failing.

Excellent product...quickly put together after the handyman installed it....We love having 2 shelves and all the space for putting valuables into it when we travel as well as using it for documents we always want to lock up. We really like the LCD readout for the code. The only thing that would make this (and all other black safes) more useful is for the INSIDE to be WHITE. I had to put a small table lamp next to the safe since it is very hard to see the back of the lower shelf, especially, because of the black color inside. (It's the same issue women are aware of - having a dark lining inside a big purse...)
