Perfect size for indoor starts before planting in the garden
BigE4423✓ Verified Purchase•June 20, 2017
These 4" pots are exactly what I needed to start my seeds indoors before planting them into my outdoor garden. Each pot contains plenty of space to allow the seedlings to grow without drying out. I started a variety of seeds in these pots this year. I planted cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, chives, parsley, sage, basil, and peppers. These pots will last me many years of use, but they aren't the most sturdy pots out there which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. They aren't flimsy, but be careful not to bang them around. I would definitely recommend this product.
Perfect

These are perfect for small plants. They have a lot of drainage holes so it is possible that some dirt/water could spill out but other than that, they're nice sturdy little pots. I would definitely buy them again and recommend them to anyone.
Good value for seed starting pots

I don't see any reason to give these less than five stars. This is my first purchase of these and they seem to be a very good value. They are pleanty strong to use as seed starting pots.
I placed a 1" thick catalog on top of one pot and it held fine without any distortion.

sturdy and cheap

I've gone "whole hog" with the gardening thing. I bought some LED grow lights and mylar sheets and heat mats for my "grow room." My kids HATE when I call it that, so I call it my GROW ROOM at every opportunity! For the record, I'm starting flowers and veggies indoors to save money on the ridiculous amount of flowers I've been buying each summer (gotta put annuals in my 22 flower pots).
Anyway, I digress. These little pots are very sturdy and cheap, making them great "starter homes" for my little seedlings after they graduate from their peat pot nursery. Because I've been incredibly lucky, I have way more viable plants than I ever thought possible, so cheap is especially good.
The pots nest tightly, taking up very little space. They seem to be sturdy enough to be top-rack dishwasher safe, so I anticipate being able to use them year after year (but I still need to order more...again, I'm experiencing some incredible beginner's luck).

Just what our garden needed!

These little pots were perfect for my seedlings to start my garden. All of them arrived in great condition. I was able to write on them with permanent marker to label what is in each and used about half of the pots for the first round, I will use a few more later in the season. I will hopefully be able to reuse these for next years starts as well, they seem study enough for at least a few rounds.
They are smaller sized pots, so I only planted 1 or 2 seeds in each. I will probably need to transplant them before too long due to the size of the pots, but I do like that they are small enough to not take up too much space and sit along the window sill easily. I also like that I can separate the plants some, I find that the combined starter pots turn into a mess with viney plants winding around each other.
