10/10 would buy Again
Aeon•December 4, 2017
I first played this game with my ex boyfriend and loved it so much I had to buy a copy of it for myself when we broke, now I'm too good at it so no one will play it with me anymore! that being said this game is highly addicting and super fun to play. and expansion packs keep the game versatile and interesting. We would play the Day Killer sometimes and combine the monster decks from one of the expansions making it so you have to kill two bosses instead of just the one. I like the different modes and its fun that you have a goal to reach. The box is high quality but the plastic insert in the box doesn't really fit the cards. I put all my cards in card protectors so they wouldn't have fit anyway. The cards are great and super easy to shuffle and feel high quality and heavy duty as well. The rules are easy to understand and look up when there are disputes, and its fun that you play as your favorite RE characters too! I Have played a lot of DBGs and this by far my favorite one!
Five Stars

Great game - very fun and almost the same as a video but with cards.
Great Game!

My cousins and I like it a lot. The only real problem with it is that not all the rules are very clear. I'm still not sure if you can use two of the characters abilities each turn our not. Still it's a lot of fun! You don't even need to play Resident Evil to enjoy it. I wish they were still making expansion packs.
Incredibly fun game!

I purchased this game as both a fan of tabletop games and of the Resident Evil franchise, and I was not disappointed at all. The mechanics of the game itself work well, the multiple game modes and variant rules are fun, and the core rules are flexible enough to fit most anyone's preference. As for the quality of the product, the cards are of nice, durable stock, the box is quite sturdy, and the overall visual design is just what one should expect from the Resident Evil license.
This game is different from other deck builders in that the game's strategy comes from its character cards. Each character card has skills that become available after defeating enough infected, and these typically shape what kind of resources you'll buy, and subsequently what sort of deck you'll build over the course of the game.
My only complaints are the current price - but seeing as the game is no longer in print, this should be expected - and the plastic insert for sorting the cards. The insert is supposed to help organize the cards and make setting up the game that much easier, but it does next to nothing if the box is tilted even slightly as the cards will fall right out of their slots.
Despite this, the game is great fun to play, especially with the full four players. A must have if you're a die-hard Resident Evil fan, or an avid tabletop gamer looking for something interesting to add to your collection!

I'm sure this is on here already, but I give it four STARS. It's a little slow starting out, but once you get strong enough to "explore the mansion", it's fun. Took us two hours to play compared to the 1 hour it states. If you're a fan of the series or like games like "dominion", you'll like it.
