I purchased this bag for carrying my accessories to and from the range, it was between this and the 5.11 range ready bag. For a little background I own two pistols and use this bag to carry my ear and eye protection, ammo, cleaning kit, speed loader and about 20 - 12" x 18" targets folded in half. I chose the sandstone color over the black because of personal preference and ease to find things in the bottom. The main compartment has a removable three way divider with multiple compartments, I removed it and use it to hold 6 boxes of 9mm ammo, my eye and ear pro and my targets with plenty of room for my pistols but I use a seperate pelican case for them. One of the side compartments can be used to hold up to six magazines, my 92 series beretta mags (15 rds) fit perfectly, where as my X-DS (7 rds) not so much. The opposite side I'm able to fit my cleaning squares in one mesh compartment and q-tips in the other, and the cleaning kit itself fits nicely outside the mesh but still in the side. The two smaller end compartments are much smaller and fairly flat, the only thing I could think of would be pens, sharpie or maybe licenses of sorts. The one end compartment has a small window you could put a business card or slide an identification card in. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase and if I outgrow it I'll probably be picking up the range ready bag. No complaints and I'll update after I get few trips under my belt.
Small but Effective

Good quality, good looking and very functional handgun range bag. One of the side zippered pockets hold my compact binoculars, multi-tool, LED flashlight. The other side holds six 9 mm 17-round magazines and the magazine loader. The center compartment (removable) holds hearing, eye protection, ammunition, notepad, field cleaning supplies, etc.. There are two zippered pockets in the center removable compartment that are not lined but each will hold a Glock 17 easily. Then there are two zippered end pockets that will only hold really small thin items. Nice carry handles and a shoulder strap with high quality zipper and attachment hardware.
Super Nice Bag!

Bought this bag after reading reviews on a number of similar products, including this one. I must say, this bag is super nice. I only have one hand gun. I carry it, ammo and all the other stuff I need at the range in this bag with no problem. The bag will easily carry 2 guns. It seems to be well made and everything is just right so far. Magazines fit in their holders, Glock fits in the zippered pouch, ammo, ear & eye protection fit in the center pouch. Plenty of other zippered pockets for more gear. Even has rubber feet to keep the bag off the ground. I've been toting aroung 300 rounds of ammo and the weight does not seem to disfigure the bag. Shoulder strap is comfortable and does not slip. I would definately recommend this bag to others.
Outstanding Quality

Perfect size with enough compartments for all my needs.
This is going to sound like a pessimistic review

This is going to sound like a pessimistic review, so let me say up front: I would buy this bag again. It's so much sturdier than the one it replaces there's no comparison. Yes, it's a little pricey, but this bag is extremely well made, the sand color is great for being able to find what you're looking for inside (since what you're looking for is probably some shade of black), zippers are sturdy and slide precisely. While it is well thought out, it could be better. Take the single, zippered pocket on each end. These are not deep enough to be very useful, i.e., you can't put a folded headset in either one, ditto glasses without likely breaking them. When unzipped you can barely get your hand in them. Although I normally loathe Velcro fasteners, there are times when it may be the best solution. Deeper end pockets with better access (and cotton or felt lining in these would be nice) and a foldover flap closure, even if it's Velcro, please. Also, the interior of the bag has a nice, sturdy, removable pouch, which is very handy.
The problem is with the execution: when you pull that pouch out, whatever else is in the center portion of the bag with it, collapses to fill the void. There needs to be either a fixed divider or even better, a second, narrower pouch -- either solution would work. Make those changes, 5.11, and I'll buy another one tomorrow!
