Took this on a 7-day backpack in the Sierra Nevada, and it worked out great. Just be aware that a 1L bottle will not fit in it. The 700ml bottles work just fine. So nice to be able to drink without having to drop the backpack.

My only issue is that for some thicker straps on military surplus packs that the clip could be a little bit bigger. Still was able to get a fit.
