Not of great quality but does what you need it to do

For the price, it does what it needs to. But you get what you pay for. I wish I had spent more for one that kept my coffee hotter and was of better quality. But it could also be that I use a large thick mug. I think it would take a very long time for the wax inside a jarred candle to melt enough to emit its odor. It is made of light plastic and the on/off switch is on the cord about a foot down. Next time I would want the on/off switch on the warmer itself so it is more easily accessible and a warmer that was of better quality. Again I don't feel it heats very well, but for the price, it works fine.

Well it would be nice if the power indicator light was located to the front of the warmer. The power light indicator sits just below the back edge of the hot plate to where I can only see the top of the light so in a well lit room such as my office you have to really look over the top for a better view of the light to determine whether the plate is on or off. I went to move it and realized it was hot because I didn't see the power indicator light was on so I learned very quickly HOT THINGS STILL BURN! I either forgot that I turned it on or I forgot to turn it off. I think the latter. Other than that, it works just fine.

I love my coffee warmer. There is one thing that no one has mentioned. There have been some negative reviews and I believe it is because people don't understand that if your cup bottom is curved it won't contact with the heating surface. If your cup is not flat bottomed it will have difficulty keeping your tea or coffee warm. I have several cups and know for the best performance to use only flat bottom cups. Curved ones don't work so well and take longer to get your item hot. I have used this for tea and coffee. My first use was with a flat bottom cup and I had a nice cup of coffee and was impressed. When I put my cup of tea on it I found it was tepid and I didn't understand why and that is when I discovered my cup was curved.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this item. Keeps my coffee warm in my cold office, but doesn't scorch it either. I've even used it to set my breakfast on (like a piece of banana bread or an english muffin), on top of a napkin, to keep warm, and it does great! I haven't had it burn any napkins, and my bread (and coffee) are perfectly warm. Light is bright and easy to tell when it's on. Has one of those roller-click on/off switches.
