One day about 5 to 7 months ago they just stoped selling this in my local Schnucks and Dierbergs. Why! This is by far the best chili mix compared to making it from scratch. Every Tuesday we do Tacos or Chili dogs and my kids love this stuff. I add 1 pound of ground beef, 1 onion and 3 table spoons of chili powder.

Great soup on its own or as a base for deluxe soup. Can easily be made in a Crock Pot in the morning for a hearty lunch ready at noon. Wild rice really add to the complexity of flavor. Takes juts like homemade especially with the quick addition of some sauteed carrots, onions and celery. We often used canned nonfat milk to make it extra creamy. Tastes, smells and looks great in a bowl. Always get compliments on the flavour and texture.

This is the absolute BEST chili packet EVER!!! Everyone of my friends that I make it for just don't believe that I don't add anything extra to it. I bought the cheddar broccoli after reading all the reviews. I did not use the subscribe and save since I wanted it for the rainy weekend.
I made it per the instructions and used a whisk to stir it. It has a nice thick consistency to it. I kept trying it as I was cooking it and it seems a bit artificial, too much of a `fake' cheese taste. The broccoli pieces in it are hard as a rock and when they are cooked, they are still really chewy. When I poured it in a bowl, I was wondering what I could add to calm the cheese taste, it was too artificial for me. I then added some sour cream and stirred it in and it was wonderful!
I don't think I will buy this again but it was one of the better soups I have made at home. A lot better than any other brands for the thickness but the artificial taste of the cheese and the hard broccoli (just the stems) does not taste good. Doctor it up to your liking though and you might enjoy it.
