Finally I can cut garlic

I bought this primarily to slice garlic. I saw Rachel Ray using this device and by-golly it does work. However, I bought a pair of gloves that protect your hands from being cut using knives, because slicing the garlic puts your fingers on the blade and it is very sharp. But this is a great device and has many more uses than just slicing garlic.

Does the job. Provides nice thin even shaves. My only grouse is that it doesn't come with instructions. If you are a cooking guru with "truffling" experience then it shouldn't matter. However I am not but all it took was a quick YouTube video. Other than that is a pretty good kitchen tool.
