Cute and sturdy!

This step stool was easy to assemble with just a screwdriver and a few minutes. The top step flips up to provide a nice storage space, but it is heavy enough to not be knocked open without effort.
The steps are cute and provide good footing. I haven't gotten them wet to see if that would make them slippery, but I would recommend not putting a set of wood steps in a water-prone area anyway. I did find a couple of MINOR flaws in the painting, but I barely noticed them when actively looking.
Because it is wood, the stool has a bit of heft to it, which means little ones should have a difficult time trying to move them around. If you're looking for something smaller children would be able to slide back and forth, you would do better to find a durable plastic set.
Our son loves this step stool, and I expect he will be able to enjoy it for many years!

I don't write reviews often, but this is so cute. It took me 17 minutes to put together and that was with a two year old "helping" me. It's adorable and feels quite sturdy. My 35 inch tall toddler can reach the sink and faucet while standing on it. My only complaint is that it is missing a screw and had a tiny chip on the edges of one of the top panels, BUT my "helper" could easily have made that screw go missing and caused the chip.

It's ok, the painting is chipped and looks like a child painted it. You can tell they don't inspect the paint before they box it up. Or they just don't care that it looks bad. My fox looks deformed. From the other reviews we used wood glue on all the screws but one, because we had to find a different screw for the last one. Not all the screws fit right. Other then that we are good with the purchase. If you want something with perfect paint...this is not the right one for you.

Absolutely LOVE this step stool for my toddler. She can brush her own teeth now and wash her hands. She loves it and loves gaining some independence. :) It is well made and the painting is cute and fun. I noticed that some comments/reviews said the paintings looked as if they were done by kids. I happen to like the paintings very much. It is creative and fun. Great step stool for the price. Very sturdy and well made.

I am crazy about this and my 16-month-old grandson knew what it was for immediately. He uses the lower step to sit on to work at his table here at my house and stores a favorite set of balls in the top. He's not quite tall enough yet but will soon be able to stand on the top step, in front of me, to help with dishwashing and food prep. I expect this will last us for years. And it really is very attractive, which is good since my living room is largely given over to toys, toy chests, board books, and other accouterments of a young one in the house.
