this product is amazing. i have 3 huskies that eat it while driving (they are mad they cant get into the front of the car) the paint is thick enough so it doesnt seperate from the metal when my dogs chew on it. the only issue i have is that one of my huskies (the smartest one) has figured out how to loosten some of the knobs... yeah i know, crazy right!

Went together easily. There's good support on this product via YouTube/internet. Very good quality. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is for a few small but very important oversight details. The foot rest sections are of very narrow rubber capped tubing. On most modern vehicles this rests on plastic panels. As you thighten the knobs, the feet dig in and warp the plastic, almost to breaking point. So there isn't a good medium, if it's too loose it'll rattle, if it's tight well then it can cause issues. Point is the base of the legs should be flat and wide to help spread the load. I just put a 2x2x3/8 piece of hard plastic to improvise. The other detail is that the window for the center seat belt is in the wrong place. For a product advertised to be specifically designed to each make,model and sub model costing over 200$ this is not what I expected. This was installed on a 2009-2013 Forester. Maybe different on other models. Doubt it.

The product came in about a week despite an estimated shipping time of approximately 1 month. The gate fits perfectly in my 09' Forester. My package was missing one of the rods to secure the gate, but I e-mailed Travall (through Amazon) on a Thursday, had a response from them on Monday and the replacement piece arrived on Tuesday, excellent service. The gate is very sturdy and I would find it difficult to believe that a dog could get through. The only con I can think of is that the instructions are a little lacking, but there are only a few pieces and its not hard to figure out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a gate that doesn't want to pay extra for a Subaru brand gate.
