In love with this kitchen island, almost feels like a mini kitchen make-over! Quality is amazing, sturdy and heavy with beautiful finish. It only took an hour and a half for my husband and I to assemble! One downside, as the evening prior to assembling we opened the 4 boxes it arrived in, and double checked there was no shipping damage, made sure all pieces and hardware were included and got everything ready for the next morning, we should have double checked the alphabetical pieces compared to the list of assembly pieces. We assembled the island 1st, all went smooth, next, 1st stool, smooth again, lastly, the 2nd stool, and sadly, the packaging had 2 letter C back legs instead of one B leg and one C leg. Because of the predrilled holes for pegs, and the difference in placement in each B and C, you MUST have both B and C to assemble the stool! So, now we only have one stool until I can contact the company to request the send us a B leg to assemble our stool. I did just order 2 regular stools without backs, to add to the island though, I am sure this will be a place we gather in the kitchen and want 2 more seats! Home Styles offers a wonderful quality product, and I hope they will send me the correct leg to the stool in a timely fashion! I recommend purchasing from this company even though there was a slight mishap in packaging.

Perfect for my smaller kitchen. I put it together myself (59 year old woman) in about 4 hours. Easy to put together. I don't mind the worm holes which are on the chair bottoms and the top of the Island.

It is not a white, white. I painted it and it took a primer and two more coats. There were about 30 pieces, and it was a major mess, as it is too cold to paint in the garage, so I had to set up the pieces all over my kitchen. I like it a lot better with the white that matches my cabinets and wood trim. On the plus side, I am a 74 year old woman, and it only took a high school kid and I a little over an hour to put the whole thing together. I am not sure what to do about the top. It is very pretty, but I would like to put something on it so that I don't have to worry about what might happen if someone sets something wet, hot etc. on it. Has anyone added polyurethane to theirs?

Assembly was pretty straight forward. You have to have the base on its side to screw the main body to it from underneath which without two people (I did it on own) is tricky as it requires propping up the base so that it's flush with the base on its side (bottom line if you have someone that can help, get them to help!) Beyond that the assembly is easy and quick. I've seen comments regarding the doors aligning, but mine are perfectly aligned and open/close well making good contact with the magnets, which may have been more by luck than judgement, though there does appear to be some give and take when tightening everything up to help with alignment. This looks fantastic once complete and I have received numerous compliments about it with a number of people thinking it was part of the original kitchen install (it matches the cabinets) Solid product and well worth the money.

Received Product without screws, tools, all parts for stools, and top of island. How can they seriously send out something missing this much stuff? In the process of returning it now. Buyer beware, you'll probably end up with my messed up box next time.
