I got this pole to use as a climbing place for a potted vine. I will note first that is is exceedingly lightweight. You will need a large pot with a fair amount of rock at the bottom to provide support. Once you get it mostly stable, you should be able to fill in with potting soil to shore up any wobbles.
It comes with a few metal pins to help hold your plants in place. I should note that they will rust rather quickly, but it seems to just be surface rust that doesn't harm their ability to hold.
If you;re looking to stabilize an upright plant or to turn a vine into one, you would do well to give this pole a try!
