A very solid lock, bolt cutter resistant, and the shackle can be removed completely. Shackle is thick, so make sure you have a chain with large links.

This is a really sturdy and substantial lock. I purchased it to secure a moving truck, however, the shackle was too wide for the latch. I kept it anyways as I can see it coming in handy for future applicaions. Clearly a well made and very secure lock. If you look into this lock you will find that it can't be beat, literally. If you lose your keys, as well as the card that contains the serial number that can be used by the manufacturer to make duplicate keys then you are essentially locked out as this is nearly impossible to pick, cut, drill, or otherwise penetrate. If you require security from your lock and aren't aware of the ease with which typical consumer locks can be opened, I encourage you to research lock picking, cutting, and shimming.
