I read some of the other reviews before I purchased this and will agree that it's suitable for dogs under ten pounds. My fur baby weighs in at 9 and it fits her perfectly! I love this seat because it allows her to see out of the car- when she's low in the seat she is constantly whining to see out. Problem solved. It's also still low enough to stay safe. Adjusts to both my cars and it's easy to take in and out. Agree the lining could have been better but I put a soft blanket in mine to make it extra cozy. Not big enough for my Pom to lay down but great for our commute to and from my office (yes she comes with me ). Highly recommend.
Must have for everyone with a small dog!

My 5 pound chihuahua, Margie, loves this seat!! She can see out and stays secure with the built in harness attachment. She does try to get out when we stop somewhere and can comes over the top a little. I would not leave her in it if I went in the store. I read the reviews so I was already aware. She can also lay down comfortably. She faces front with plenty of room and loves watching where we are going but in the picture you see her yawning, so she turned sideways about to lay down. Looks small but lots of deep space inside and pockets on the outside for her stuff. I put a baby blanket in bottom for her comfort.

This is perfect for my papillon, Astor. He is small, and needs to be secure and high up on the seat so he can look out the window. This is an adjustable seat, and is just perfect. Thank you!

This product is cheaply made. When I first put it in my car the black plastic hooks that held it in place in the back wouldn't stay locked. I then loosened them to keep them locked. They frequently came undone. The first photo shows what the car seat looked like before I played with it moving the straps up and down in the back. The other two photos show how I finally got the bottom of the seat to be somewhat level with my passenger seat. My dog weighs 7 lbs and is a Maltese mix. He is a little big for this seat. I wouldn't recommend for a bigger pet. I purchased so he could see out of the window and be confined so he won't jump on me while driving. These two requirements were met and that's why I gave 3 stars. Had I wanted to deal with the hassle of a return I would've shipped the car seat back. It wasn't worth it due to the cheap price I paid for it. I also have to remove the car seat frequently when someone rides in my passenger seat and after the 5th time or so one of the straps came out completely. I recommend that you pay more money and get a nicer car seat.
