Great Knife, Good Price and Fast Shipping
MrSteveDecember 12, 2016
Excellent knife at an amazing price. I have acquired 3 Mora Knives in the last 2 - 3 years and am never disappointed. Wicked sharp on arrival, good fit and finish. The only issue would be the plastic sheath instead of leather but I've grown to like it with use. The sheath has a good tight belt clip and it has never failed to keep the knife secure. You'll not be sorry.
It's not too good to be true!

I used this knife for hunting and really like it. I was able to gut the deer, skin and butcher it with this and one other knife (oddly enough a rapala filet knife). It is super strong, light and inexpensive. I shudder when thinking about losing a $100+ knife in the woods. I bought two of these so if I lost one I would have a backup right there... And spent less than half of what I would have spent on a competitor brand. I've used the expensive knives and like this one better.

It will discolor when cleaning fish. I don't mind a little patina. As long as you don't have visible rust discoloration is fine. No rust on either of my Mora's by the way.

This is an excellent knife. Mora is a widely reputable manufacturer and with this one they surely don't disappoint. I've used this thing extensively over the past couple weeks from opening mail, to whittling, to cutting rope and bailing twine, and many things in between, it's size makes it an extremely handy knife. It's very sharp right out of the box and stays that way through many tasks. The handle on it fits my hand perfectly and the material is pretty unique, it almost seems to get 'grippier' if you will. I wouldn't be afraid to use thing in any sort of wet weather environment. The sheath is also very nice, pretty solid hard plastic with positive 'clicks' when it locks in, and lock in it does. You could put this knife in the sheath, string it on your belt, climb a tree and hang upside down and swing around a bit and it'll still be right there with you and not in the way.

I bought mine here on Amazon for $12. That's right $12. Initially you know you think it's a $12 knife how good could it really be, I'll probably break it or throw it away in a week. Definitely not the case here, this is a very high quality, reasonably priced knife that you can have and keep just about anywhere, throw it in the truck, your bag, the shed, garage, wherever. One of my best purchases on Amazon to date, I highly recommend it, and any other Mora products. Because its carbon steel, Keep a little oil on it over long periods of non use and it'll last you for years.
Just an absolutely awesome knife

This knife is awesome. It comes razor sharp in a hard plastic sheath. I carry it in my pocket and use it mostly in the kitchen. The blade holds an edge very well so despite quite a bit of use it seems as sharp as the day it arrived. The carbon blade discolors pretty quickly. I cut tomatoes with it and the polished silver blade stained within a few minutes. That isn't a problem, it's an observation. The blade is taking on a blue-gray patina. With most knives, the edge bevel appears ground with grind marks forming the bevel. Not here, the edge bevel is mirror smooth and polished like the rest of the knife. The handle is grippy and comfortable. The sheath has a molded belt clip with an overlapping retention catch meant to trap the belt. It has a small drain hole at the bottom. The knife snaps into the sheath with an over-the-center click. The knife is easy to remove from the sheath but is very unlikely to come out by itself. With the sheath held vertically, knife handle down, I can drop the knife from the sheath with a very hard shake downwards. I don't think it will ever drop out of the sheath accidentally, it is very well held. The knife does not rattle in the sheath. The molded knife handle surrounds the tang, there aren't rivets so it is difficult to tell how much the tang extends into the handle. Using strong magnets it appears the tang extends to within about an inch of the end of the handle. If you look at he photo of the knife, there is a molded in "Morakniv" logo. The tang extends to between the "M" and the "o", so the tang is long, nearly as long but not quite as long as the handle.
This knife is absolutely well worth buying. It seems far better made than I'd expected, even after reading the glowing reviews.
Fantastic Fixed knife!

If you want a good knife for just whatever you can't go wrong with the Mora Companion. I got one in a different color for everyone in my family and they use them all the time and keep them in their bug out bags. Great for bush craft and outdoor stuff. Would be a great knife to keep in your tackle box, or really wherever. Its perfect size, comes good and sharp, whatever color you desire, and for less than $20, actually the last one I got was under $13!!! You will not find a better fixed knife at this quality for this price. They are made in Sweden, not China, they are not full tang, but still tough. They are easy to sharpen, and take a beating. The Plastic sheath is actually quite nice as well. It is basic, but works really well. I have purchased 5 now and will likely purchase more in the near future.
