It's a giant piece of astro turf! What's not to love? We use this as a little outdoor rug for our camper. The stakes that came with it are super sturdy and the rug is great. It is thin astro turf with no padding which is great for our purpose. Dirt shakes out easy. We love it.

Looks pretty good but with the rubber backing I was expecting it to keep the rain from seeping through it. We are using it on a upstairs deck and I was hoping it would keep the rain from coming through to the downstairs deck. Very generous in it's sizing.

has a cheap sparkle to the fabric. I was hoping for a mat finish that didn't "glissen".

Update: April 2018 Threw it out! wears so badly that there are bare spots all over it. Shreds too so patio is covered with green "hairs" What a disappointment.!!! Buyer beware.

This was the lowest-priced artificial turf covering I could find -- online or at Home Depot -- and it was a great choice. All other alternatives came in at least twice the price for the size I needed.

The grass blades are soft enough to let a baby crawl around on, and it comes with grommet holes and stakes for quick outdoor installation. I used it on an old covered porch that had asphalt roll roofing material for flooring, and it's a huge improvement -- great for bare feet and nice to look at. That porch is now a very friendly, pleasant spot when before it was kind of ugly and unusable.

It's a rich, bright green color, and the grass blades reflect a little light, adding a cheerful sparkly effect. The marine backing is "good enough" for my needs. It looks to me like rain water might seep through the backing, but that's not a problem for my application.

It comes folded, so be prepared for some creases. But the backing is very flexible, like cloth, so these even out pretty easily.

THE COMPANY:

When I received it, it turned out to be a different size than described. Same square footage, just different dimensions. The vendor responded very quickly to my inquiry, and made me more than happy with their very generous resolution. They really do back their products fully. In my case, I could have sent it back with all return shipping pre-paid for a full refund (even the expedited shipping I had paid extra for), but I chose to keep it and take their alternative offer. All Amazon vendors should be this good.

It was a little thinner than I expected and I wish it had come rolled rather than folded. Took awhile in the hot sun for the creases to smooth out. I have mine on the deck. It looks fine, no signs of fading and is easy to vacuum. However if you're purchasing a 10 x 15 for the ground there are only 6 grommets and stakes which allows the wind to catch up under it.
