After a bit of research it appears Galantamine is intended for folks over 50 yrs old.
It's not suggested for younger folks, and not considered a general usage supplement,
The product has been approved by the FDA for treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Studies have shown Galantamine improves memory / awareness.
While it helps restore a balance in the brain with Alzheimer's patients, it's not a cure.
It's suggested to start with 8mg (this dosage) = 1 daily with extra water.
>>> THEN is suggested to consult your Doctor.
> Because in a couple weeks, up to 4 weeks after starting, you may
want to take 2 capsules daily w/meals.
>>> Galantamine is usually effective in doses of 16 to 24 mg a day.
More than that isn't tolerated very well and is said to not add any better effect anyway.
Research states some mild side effects - headaches - dizziness - nausea - in 10% of the people.
An excellent product for those that need it = 5 stars

I started using this product when Life Extension Company was in full production. Approximately 10 years ago. If there are any harmful effects, I never experienced them!!! I am in my 80's, perfect memory and sharp! (I even continue to take college courses). Guess you could say my dreams are lucid, but this never was my purpose for taking the product. I took the 4 strength, not the 8, because the 4 seemed effective enough. I can only say I am terribly disappointed Life Extension, the company, doesn't seem to be producing & distributing any longer. They use to have the greatest scientific reviews, and publication of research in their regular magazines.
