We adopted our dog, Coda. He is such a great dog, so sweet to us, always lovable. Then about 4 months later, he became aggressive. Became protective over us and the house. We are now working on this, but we now have to have a muzzle for him. He hates it, but we don't have a choice. We don't want him biting someone or another dog. This Muzzle is great. It doesn't hurt him.
When using a muzzle for the first time, use treats to get your doggie slowly used to the muzzle. We will put a treat thru the front end and he has to put his mouth thru to reach it. This helps get him used to the muzzle idea. We do this on a daily basis. We are still working on it and he still doesn't like it, but the more we do it, the easier it gets. Just do your research on muzzling your dog first.

I am very pleased with the Baskerville rubber ultra muzzle. We have 4 dogs, 2 are male rescue dogs that have lived together fairly well until March of this year. The dachshund/Eskie mix has decided he is going to eliminate the cocker spaniel. My husband has been bitten badly separating the boys so the cocker isn't killed. I almost gave the cocker away to protect him from the vicious attacks and it was breaking my heart. I read about this muzzle and decided to give it a try. I use it on the dachshund mix and it has worked like a charm. I used the small pieces of cookie as I put on the muzzle to get him to accept it. It didn't take but a few days and now, as soon as I get out the muzzle, he's ready. It has brought peace back to our home for at least the time I put the muzzle on. We are keeping the boys separated most of the day but the muzzle goes on at night and we all can be together and relax. Thank you, Baskerville, for allowing our "family" to stay together.
Helps keep my dog from eating gum on walks

Great product. Sugar-free gum has a chemical in it (xylitol) that can actually kill a dog--look it up online. My dog seemed to find every piece of gum in the neighborhood/park. After taking her to the Vet after she had gotten to some before I could get to her (Vet induced vomiting), my Vet recommended a muzzle for my piece of mind. Note the Vet said if the gum has been chewed, most of the chemical is probably gone but you just don't know. I have a smaller dog -- a 20 pound terrier mix -- so a small amount of the chemical can really cause issues.
The instructions recommended using treats/peanut butter to get your dog to like it and that worked great. The first time I put her in and was a pain and when I walked her the first time I had to give her so many treats along the way we were going at a snail's pace. I was worried this would keep up forever, but she got use to it very quickly. I've been using it about 6 weeks. I got a size 2, which is a little big, but it still works.
The instructions recommended using treats/peanut butter to get your dog to like it and that worked great. The first time I put her in and was a pain and when I walked her the first time I had to give her so many treats along the way we were going at a snail's pace. We have one dog that constantly chews up EVERYTHING. We bought this to try and curb that. We put it on her and it seems to fit a bit small. Haven't had to use it yet as we have not left town for a week or so. We'll see if she can keep it on the next time we go out.
Well it is February now. Had to take my review down a star. Why you ask? See picture. Sadly, this is all that is left of the muzzle. We had it put on and cinched down as far as possible without hurting the animal and it still found a way to chew it off. Now I am off to look for a Bane mask or something. Perhaps something made of steel.

Okaaaay, but one issue

The product works well, but it's edges seem to be tooo sharp. I ordered a size 4 for my German shepherd pup and all seems to fit very well, but after just a third time use it began to cut her nose. I'm including a photo to show the problem area. Debating on ordering a size 5 or will it be too big?? Other than that it's great for panting, and drinking water while it's on.
