Man I love this thing first time use I canned 24 pints blackberry jelly!!! No more straining this combined with the ball jam jelly maker what would literally takes days now takes one. Please note the directions says to align the handles this is important because if not align correctly steam will escape out of the side.. The wife loves it too no more frozen fruit taking up freezer space.

I used this product for grape juice concentrate. The hose clamp isn't tight enough to prevent a slow stream of juice from flowing without hooking the clamp onto the middle pan handle, and in doing so the clamp gets pretty hot. The instructions left a lot to be desired so looked to the internet for help in determining the amounts, approx yields, and processing time. Would not recommend filling jars directing from the spout, rather would drain juice periodically into a large stock pan and then add sugar to taste and fill jars. This enables you to control the consistency of the juice. overall - good product for the price

We love this juicer! If you make lots of jellies and syrups then this steam juicer is a great investment! It will save you lots of time and work. All you do is put berries/fruit in the collander, add water to the bottom, and heat it on the stove. As the steam draws out the juice it will collect in one of the chambers. It is good to run the juice through a couple of times to really draw it out thoroughly. As the juicer "does its thing" you can do other jobs in the kitchen!
Pros: simple, saves a LOT of time if you make lots of jelly and syrup, fraction of the price of the mehu-lisa and seems to be very similar quality
Cons: as with all of these steam juicers you will ruin it if you let it run out of water in the bottom, we miss the cork that the mehu-lisa had, but we could probably find another to replace it

Purchased this to Juice an overabundance of muscat grapes this year. The steamer juicer makes this process foolproof and super easy - I am so glad that I found this; otherwise I would have never spent the time/effort to make grapejuice - hand-processing is far too time consuming and messy. I highly recommend steam juicing - since grapes, I've also tried apples (Gala's were cheap locally) and it works just as simply. Produces clear, excellent juice.
The pot itself is made from solid material, I'm happy with the quality. I like the thick, flat base. All the parts fit snugly; no issues with steam leaking out creating unnecessarily unsafe surfaces etc. The tube/clamp arrangement works fine although it is a little clumsy when dealing with hot liquid. Comes with a replacement tube (or extender?...I haven't used it) Whole thing cleans up quickly after use. Would prefer a glass lid so that I don't have to open it to determine the status of the fruit; but this is not a show-stopper since one has to open the other parts to determine juice level and water level anyway.
