FINALLY!

There's an old joke about being such a terrible cook, the food is so bad, I gave it to the Dog, and he started licking his butt to get the taste out of his mouth. Well that was me. For years, I've been trying to cook rice. It either boiled over and turned to mush, or tasted like soft rocks.
Thanks to Amazon suggesting the Rapid Rice Cooker, I decided for that price, I'd give it a shot. "Fill rice to bottom line". "Fill water to top line." "Cook two minutes". "Stir, and cook one more minute". That's it. I'm telling you, the rice came out PERFECT! I poured two cups of vegetable stew over a serving of rice, and it was DELICIOUS!
The product is compact, sturdy, light weight, affordable, and works exactly as advertised. Five stars!

Faster then cooking on stove. No mess. Rice is a fluffy and soft texture.

Based on a 1000 watt microwave. Cooked for 11 minutes and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
The rice line measures to 1 1/2 cups with uncooked medium grain being used, but, that can vary depending on rice used, and, the water line measures to 1 3/4 cups, which may also vary, due to rice size. Added salt and color packet, versus, plain white rice, then microwave for 10 minutes -don't recommend less, unless your microwave has more power.
Added vegetables inside, which, was cooked separately, but, you can possibly do with the rice. Was going to add 1/4 cup of canned beans, which would possibly also cook fine with the rice.
Hope this helps. Will try other things in this rice bowl with certain it isn't just for rice.

Great rice!

Love this rice cooker! Made some as soon as I got it. I used the measurements of how I was taught at home and it came out perfect.
Make sure the water is as high from the top of the rice to the first line on your index finger. You can't ever go wrong like that.

Rice in 3 minutes anyone?

It's simple and easy to use. The first time I forgot to add oil, but I was watching it and as soon as it started to boil, I added some. I'm an avid rice eater and adding oil to it is strange for me. But it does prevent it from boiling over.
Takes longer than 3 mins.

Not sure what rice they're cooking with this. It took longer than 3 mins. I think I had to add more time twice so maybe like 5-6 mins to cook a little rice. It's handy in that it keeps you from having to use a bigger pot or rice cooker for just one serving of rice.
