Handy, Lightweight Trip Saver

I purchased this prior to a trip to a foreign country that was undertaken less than two weeks after I had a surgical procedure on my back to help control pain. While I wish I had had more recovery time, this cane/seat helped make the trip a pleasant experience. I am unable to stand for any significant amount of time without experiencing pronounced pain. It was wonderful to have this seat with me at all times so I could sit as needed. This product is lightweight and incredibly handy. Because my legs are long, I needed to extend the legs fully, but because I have lost more than two inches in my upper body, carrying was a bit of a challenge until I learned to hold the apparatus by the tube under the handle.

I ordered this for my husband because he gets tied when he walking but also needs the aid of a cane. So this item works well for both purposes.

I have bought three of this type cane, two exactly like this, and I love them. Two ended up in airports where I lost them, so I hope I can hang on to this one. Many people have asked me about them because this cane/seat is great anywhere that requires lengthy periods of standing, such as waiting in a line or, on a trip, listening to a tour guide. Should I lose this one, (I hope not!), I will buy another.

This cane is all that it was shown to be at a reasonable price. It's lightweight, adjustable by height and folds easily. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the seat is not very large and seems to slant downward rather than straight across. Perhaps I need to adjust it - don't know - but it's only okay (for me) as far as comfort.

Got this for an upcoming trip that we have in a few weeks. There will be waiting in lines and without this, I would have to carry my big rolling walker with the seat with me and that can be rather bulky and take up lots of valuable car space especially when you are traveling more than halfway across the country and back. Can't wait to see how it holds up. Both of my legs are injured so I am sure that it will be put to good use. It certainly looks and feels sturdy for being so lightweight.
