I realize this is made for men, and I am a 5'2" woman so I should not be surprised that the small was a little large on me. I probably should have ordered the extra small, but I was afraid of it being too small. But even though it is large, it gives me plenty of room to wear regular pants underneath (best for comfort) and the length was easily adjusted using mending tape to do the hemming. It is heavy duty quality, and I need it since I walk my dogs rain or shine for about an hour at 6 am.

I only wore these a month at work and they already have a bunch of holes in them. I work at a butcher's in the meat grinding/sausage room and need something that will keep me dry. I love the pocket and the fit was good overall (kind of big on me since Im a girl). But they fell apart way too fast. Need to find something that will last longer.

I tried on a 5X at a local store. It was the fit I wanted but too expensive and too heavy. The 5X I got from Helly Hansen was more like a 3X.

So all that shows is different brands have different ways of sizing.

But I used to be a logger and an oilfield roughneck. The Helly Hansen wouldn't have stood up to those industries. The Helly Hansen seems like it would rip too easily. All I wanted it for was for my daily walks.

So I sent the Helly Hansen back. They didn't charge me for shipping it back and they had a refund for me within a couple days. So if you're not a fat guy like me, you can just keep buying them until you find one that fits.

Bought these for my husband to work in our overgrown poison ivy filled backyard. He loves them. With these & the other stuff I got him, he has no excuse now not to tackle the yard.

I wore this 6 days a week for about a month now still going strong. The left side has a button material extender that makes reaching in to your street jean pockets an ease. I will buy again if these ever get worn. Worth every penny.
