First off, I am a fifty something man, not a elite cyclist. I am not training for the Tour de France. I want something to get some miles on at off hours of the day. This trainer fits the bill perfectly. It is compact, easy to set up and includes everything you need. It took less than 10 minutes to get my bike on it, including changing the skewer and pumping up my tires. The resistance adjustment is not that great, barely noticeable, but I can get what I need with my bike's drive train. It seems stable enough too. I can stand in the saddle and go for a bit and not feel unsafe. It is not noisy I can carry on a conversation or probably watch TV if I wanted to easily. I can easily use ear buds for music or audible book with no issue. I would not hesitate to recommend this trainer. It is a great bang for the buck.

This is an excellent bike trainer. Some people have complained that it is noisy. IT IS NOT NOISY. It is actually very quiet.

This trainer, and every other trainer like it, is meant to be used with a bike that has road tires, not knobby mountain bike tires. If you have a bike with an aggressive dirt bike tread, then of course it will make noise. Buy a regular exercise bike instead.

The quality of this product is very good. The welds are expertly made. It folds easily and can be stored under your bed. It holds the bike very securely. To adjust the resistance, just select a gear that makes the rear wheel spin faster or slower. That's all you have to do. You can put the bike on it and remove it in 30 seconds.

It does not come with a block to raise the front tire. You can buy one at Amazon for a few dollars, or you can just use a scrap piece of wood (which is what I did.)

I used it for the 1st time for 45 minutes and when I was done my (road) bikes tire was shredded allover the ground. It was set up correctly according to the owners manual. It wore a massive flat spot in my tire. The tire was so thin that it couldn't be used anymore. I was able to return it luckily

Do not buy this if you cannot take the horrible noise that is sure to aggravate your eardrums. I am totally upset about the engineering of this product. Overall it does what it is designed to do, but I don't use this because I can't think past the loud noise it makes. Would not recommend you get this. So not sacrifice quality for price.

UPDATE 2: New unit arrived. Resistance unit works perfectly and QUIETly! So I changed from 1 star to 5 stars. FYI ... I do not use quick-release hubs. If you use the axle nuts instead of quick release, this unit is for you.

UPDATE 1: Amazon has agreed to replace this unit! YEA! I will update this feedback as soon as the new unit arrives ...

ONE STAR because I hope that the RAD people will respond to this review ... I like the product BUT ...(1) IT is NOT quiet as claimed ... it emits a VERY LOUD metal-on-metal GRINDING noise when in use, and (2) I have noticed more and more METAL SHAVINGS covering the resistance unit ... probably from the METAL-ON-METAL grinding noted in item one. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE GET BACK TO ME??

I got this as a Christmas gift, just recently set it up, and have used it a total of three times (about 20 minutes total)
