Great hat....giving it two stars because it really isn't packable. Instructions say the crown has to be stuffed with socks or whatever to keep its shape. This doesn't work as "packable" for me. Who has that much room in a suitcase that the hat can't be folded or crushed down. If you want it for a sun hat around town it would be great.

These are the best sun hats ever. I bought this one as a gift for a good friend after she complained about the sun hat she took on her last vacation to a sunny spot. I already have a couple of these in different colors, and they are both comfortable to wear and very packable. Every other hat I ever took on a trip lost its shape and came out of the suitcase dented and crumpled. These hats emerge from being packed looking just like new. They provide good shade and can be worn all day without pinching your head.

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for ... lightweight (but with some shape and not floppy), "airy" so my head doesn't sweat like Niagara Falls, and, a very attractive style on my head. I have a freakishly large head and this fits very well, not tight at all. I can't speak yet to the "pack-able" claim as I have not put it in a suitcase. Pack-ability was another feature I was looking for, though, so hopefully I will be pleased. I hesitated at the price (I'm pretty frugal) but am glad I ordered this hat. Although it's still early days, I feel like this may be the last beach-summer-vacation hat I may ever buy ... so that's economical in the long run! As long as free returns are offered, I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try if you are on the fence.

I hate wearing hats. Well, I did until I found this one. It blocks out the sun, is nicely ventilated which is a big deal for 'head sweaters' like me, and somehow manages to complement my large head at the same time.
