Just beware that although some of the pictures show the pack to have the QMT (what you need to add the UTA and the Helix valve), yours may not arrive with QMT technology. Also, the 3L bladder you receive may not be low profile. Again, check the pictures and see the discrepancies. Overall, good quality but I had to purchase the upgrade kit for about $32.99; it includes a QMT upgrade adapter along with the Helix bite valve and the USA. Rather unfortunate drawback.

Excellent quality, great form factor, holds water a long time without getting funky. I hang it by my bed during especially dry winter nights for easy hydrating to avoid rough dry throat. I hang it on the back of my truck seat headrest and mounted the magnet clip (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B007TJ5X8E/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_6) where the handle grip would be next to my head for easy access to stay hydrated on road trips. Haven't actually used it for hiking/camping yet, but it ought to be a great addition.

High quality, extremely tough USMC issue gear. I would HIGHLY recommend buying old new stock from BlackStar Supplies. For some reason it is listed here in Amazon as used when it is in fact it is 100% brand new. I would also recommend that a name tag be attached to the unit in a visible place as they are many water carriers like it and chances of getting someone else's by mistake on a race or event is considerable. Got is for 28 bucks delivered!!

Love source products. This is my second bladder. Have used a 3l bladder with my go ruck pack for two years and it has always performed well and has never had a bad taste. Purchased this one because it's nice to have the pack as insulation or to be able to use it as a stand alone pack to go on short hikes.

I've been using Source bladders for 4 years now. I recently got this hydration carrier due to being frustrated with my standard issue "Hydramax" carrier I got from the Army. The Source bladders are much easier to clean thanks to the wide pac opening at the top of the bladder. This carrier itself is much more convenient, thanks to the side zip pocket which allows me to access the bladder. Also being able to tuck the straps into the carrier so they don't dangle when I want to strap it directly to my IOTV is a huge boon over my issued Hydramax.
The build quality of this carrier is great. Cleaning both the carrier and the bladder is a breeze.
