I wasted $ on cheaper apple slicers that turned out not to be sharp. The PC apple slice is sharp! And, like all their products that I own, well made. Yes, it is pricey when compared to others, BUT if you want quality & most important, for me, sharp, then it is worth the price.

I had one of these for about ten years. It disappeared las summer and I've been at a loss ever since! Looked at cheap ones at Walmart- finally bit the bullet and ordered this one again even though it's pricey. I love it once again! I mostly rinse it well and don't put it too often in the dishwasher, but with my old one, I never had problems with it getting dull. And I used it every day! I expect with the sturdiness and quality of my new one, it will be the same!
