I bought one of these and it developed a crack ...

I bought one of these and it developed a crack in the bottom rear corner and started leaking in the refrigerator. I assumed that I did something wrong and bought another. After a slight bump while refilling the new one also developed a crack in the bottom rear corner and started leaking. The fact that the leaks all happened in same place shows that this is a design flaw. The plastic is to thin in the corners and becomes brittle in the cold refrigerator environment. I would not buy these.
LEAKS! Don't buy!

It leaked about a 2 quarts of water in 2 days. Shelf is a cabinet is destroyed - same as laminate floor at the kitchen!
It leaks really slowly - you can't notice that immediately. I've left full tank overnight on a counter standing on paper towels - in the morning they were completely wet. See picture - in the evening bottle was completely full.

We are so pleased with this. We go through a little more than 2 gallons of water a day (this is a 2.5 gallon container). Before, we were filling up 2 large pitchers with water (filtered from our Culligan faucet filter) and putting them in the refrigerator because we like nice cold water. This slimline container makes refilling the water much easier for me. For one, I only fill it up once a day (before I go to bed). When I refill it, I do not take the slimline container out of the refrigerator. I use my old water pitcher, fill the water up at my faucet and then pour the water into the slimline container (which again, stays inside the refrigerator). I think that will help keep down the wear and tear on the slimline container by not moving it too much. We did have to initially adjust the spout because it leaked at first. I think most people having a problem with leaks need to tighten the spout better and make sure the collar ring and the spout piece align. Also, every morning, I unscrew the top cover all the way. Just enough so that a little air can get in to make the water flow stronger. The only other thing I would mention is that you need to make sure that it isn't hanging over your shelf too far out because it can cause your refrigerator to not shut all the way. We hang it just far enough to get a rim underneath and I think I even had to adjust the shelf height at first because it was hitting something on our door.
Lastly, I love this slimline container because we drink a lot of water, my younger children can easily get water for themselves and I was tired of laboring over my kitchen faucet, filling our old water pitchers ALL DAY LONG. So now I can just sit around and sip nice cold water and watch the clouds roll by.

Better then my Glass Container!!

After a disaster with a 2 gallon glass contain that fell....while full! ... from my frig this is wonderful. Has a handle on the front to help to life it into the top shelf of the frig. I'm still finding tiny pieces of glass in my feet when I forget to wear slippers. And this one holds more than the glass and the spout is a whole lot better. I made a little bucket to catch any drips that might occur. So far none.
Almost Perfect

These are great, almost prefect. The fact they are so narrow is perfect for saving space in the fridge. Just be careful to measure your fridge shelf rack to make sure this will fit. Height wasn't a problem but the depth was a little too long. But still got it to barely fit.
It's great that it has a handle for easy carrying. The spout has good flow, as long as there is sufficient airflow. The opening is large for easy refilling.
The only thing lacking is that there is no air hole! So after you fill a few cups, water stops flowing out. You have to keep the top unscrewed, but that got annoying and I didn't like having the water being exposed while in the fridge.
So I had to drill a hole in the top to create airflow. The plastic is stiff so you have to use a power drill. It works perfectly now. Just make sure you drill the hole in the right spot so that water doesn't spill out in the two different positions.
