I ordered this pillow as part of a Log Lady (from Twin Peaks!) costume for Halloween. Yes, I could have just found a real log, but I didn't want to carry around a large hunk of wood at a party all night. This pillow fulfilled all of my Log Lady needs while being light and entertaining to bop people over the head with.
The fabric of this pillow is quite photo-realistic, and it makes a nice post-Halloween neck pillow. The stuffing is those little foam micro beads, but unlike some micro bead things I've had in the past, they stay securely in the pillow. I could see this working quite well as a travel or camping pillow if you have some extra room available.
My only complaint, and this is really a complaint about legal regulations as the company can't control it, is that it has some huge tags sewn into the seam with the "made with only new materials" info on it. I managed to cut this off, but it's hard to do without nicking the stretchy fabric.

This was really cute on my bed. We have full-height birch tree decals on our bedroom walls, so this was a perfect fit to the theme. Why do I keep saying "was?" Well, that's because I forgot to remove the tags. One of my French Bulldogs got up on my bed, and he noticed the tags. His first thought must have been, "Mom forgot to remove the tags from this cool new pillow!" His second thought must have been, "I'd better remove those tags for her. She'll be so pleased!" So he removed the tags from my pillow, but not nearly as carefully as I would have done, thus causing a small rip in the seam, thus releasing A BAZILLION styrofoam micro-beads all over my bed, and room, and dog. I mean, those little white balls were EVERYWHERE! His eyes, nose, and mouth were just packed with the stuff. So... yeah. It WAS a nice little pillow. I miss that pillow. Not recommended for homes with very helpful little bulldogs.

This log pillow is a win! Before bed I like to prop my head and neck up with it when I watch tv and after tv, hold it between my arms when I sleep. It's like my adult version of a blankie, haha. It's full of micro-beads, which makes it plump but I have another one of these I've had for years now and over time, just like a bean-bag, the beads or beans will flatten and your pillow will "deflate." But that takes a while. This log pillow material is silky which keeps your head and neck nice and cool. Plus, it looks like a log! Perfect for an outdoorsy person, camper, or lumberjack. My two young kids like to pillow-fight with it and even though I've told them 100 times, "Don't do that!" they still do and it has not ripped or flattened out. Great pillow, great choice.
