I used this product for my hot tub. My daughter and son helped me assemble the product. So far it works great!
Wonderful product

This is a first rate product. I should have bought one long ago instead of lifting the cover to get into the tub. It was quite easy to install cut do recommend installing it with the hot tub empty of water as it is much easier to push the metal flap under the hot tube when it is empty. Once installed it is simple to use and very easy to lift. Highly recommend.
Perfect solution.

This is the way to go, easy to use, cover is tucked away when removed"¦awesome. Now my wife can easily use the spa without wrestling the cover off and on.
Works as easy as it look

One person can handle opening and closing the hot tub with the unit. We love it.
Saved me $1000, and better than my mounted lifter

Wish I'd found this elegant solution years ago, as I struggled to maintain my aging mounted lifter's aluminum handles and mounting bolts that failed every few years under constant stress.
My original spa vendor wanted to charge well over $1K to replace my waterlogged cover and old lifter with a costlier non-hydraulic lifter. So glad I hesitated and found Cover Caddy here instead. It's actually even easier for one person to use than the mounted lifter, even with the extra heavy waterlogged cover (which I'll attempt to dry out this summer).
Assembly and installation went fine, though I think there's a minor missing step in the instructions for securing the two bolts that hold the top bracket at its proper height. I did have to drain the tub and have a helper slide the base plate into place, while I lifted the still heavy tub barely a centimeter high.
Seems structurally sound thanks to a wood center beam in my tub frame, see photo. As long as the lifter legs hold up where bolted onto the base plate, I don't anticipate any structural degradation over time, this design seems well thought out and sufficiently strong.
