I was sceptical, but daily use months later got my trust. The pin design works better than expected, even through tough denim and thick waistbands. They were the most expensive pair I bought ($25) but worth every penny. The company that sells this even offers replacement pieces if ever needed. Most companies just want you to buy another pair. This company is different by producing a superior product, and standing by their customers. In my opinion, a very ethical company.

I've been having a LOT of lower back pain. Eating ibuprofen like candy. Had an mri done. Showed a slight bulging disc. Doc said it shouldn't cause a lot a of pain. So out of basic desperation. I decided to try these instead of wearing a belt. Took about a week. But now my lower back pain is gone. Seems my belt was pushing on the bulging disc and aggravating it. These are really comfortable. Only initial problem was with the shoulder strap dropping off. I moved both front and back connectors closer to the center and it fixed that. Well worth the money for me. Hope this helps someone.

The engineering and design that has gone into these suspenders is incredible. I never thought there could be so much thought go into a suspender snap. They are designed to stay closed even as I slide across my truck seat, they have a little nail like punch that penetrates the fabric so the clips cannot come loose. The nail is small enough that it did not leave a mark on my pants. It is like a lapel pin spike only a little longer. These suspenders were a great purchase as I do a lot of timber work and like to wear loose fitting pants so the saw dust falls through and doesn't get caught on my belt line and rub. You will not be sorry if you spend a few extra dollars to buy these suspenders. They are worth every penny.

Doing a lot of work around the house requires a lot of bending over. At 70 (officially a geezer I guess) I was having trouble with my back while bending because I had to have my belt so tight to keep my pants from sliding down exposing my plumbers crack when wearing a tool belt. I had an old pair of suspenders from another manufacture but the elastic back straps were worn out and the non elastic front strap webbing would cut into my neck making them uncomfortable plus they were very difficult to adjust. I Started checking out suspenders at Amazon and saw the rave reviews on the "Hold-ups" suspenders. I would have to agree with the other reviewers that these are very comfortable and very easy to adjust and they don't look too bad either. The elastic front straps expand and contract as you bend over creating a constant but comfortable tautness unlike some suspenders that kind of droop in the front as you bend. Also the positive and easy to use latching mechanism stays securely latched to my pants and are easy to release. I can't speak to the longevity of how long they'll last but I WILL be buying another pair.

I have been using Hold-up suspenders for many years. They last as well as any brand and the variety to great. The only problem I have had that keeps this from being five star is to adjustment bar. They tend to come apart after a while--much sooner than the rest of the suspender. In spite of that, this is the only brand I use since discovering them. I use a narrower white version when wearing a suit with white shirt, a narrower red version for everyday wear in the office, both black and red non-elastic version for working outdoors. I also buy both red and green versions and have them taken apart at the back leather part have have them resewn to have one red and one green which I use while being Santa.
