I added a room to my house this year - it turned out lovely - but along the way the costs spiraled out of control. The planned budget nearly trebled! By the time I was ready to hook up my new little wood stove, the budget was down to crumbs. It has been more than 25 years since I added a stove and shopped for a floor board and wall heat shield. I was stunned. Everything I saw was +$500 each. In the past I has a simple pad, both under and behind my stove. Didn't anyone carry THOSE anymore? Well, the product on your screen is just that. They provide utility at a reasonable price. And I actually prefer the plainness - there is enough else in my room of for "decoration". These pads can be used as either a heat shield under your stove or mounted on the wall as a heat shield behind your stove (be sure to buy the mounting kit - simple to install and holds board out away from wall.) Mine arrived unscathed by transit - and in no time I had the shield on the wall ( I am a 59 year old woman, and I did this by myself with a cordless drill to drill pilot holes, and a hammer to tap the "sleeves" into place, rested the wall heat shield on a couple of books to adjust for height and then screwed them into place.) These are the same as the heat shields I had in three other houses, under and behind large stoves and small. Great product at VERY REASONABLE price.

Just what I needed, as no local stores carry this product any longer. Only one issue, look like someone dropped it on one of the corners. Corner of board is crushed in some. Not enough to send back, but a little disappointed because I paid good money. Packaging suggestion: maybe add a little Styrofoam to the corners when boxing? Amazon/warehouse staff should try to be careful not to damage.

The product is great for what I wanted. I will use it forever

Was a bit different than I was expecting and had to push the metal in on the back in some places, but over-all, I am pleased
