Nice product.
Still defective, too heavy and falls apart
James MoralesJune 27, 2017
I purchased because more recent reviews said the problem with the fragile connection was fixed. But that exact problem haunted my first experience. The extension is way to heavy to support its plastic connection, mine broke off after 2min of use and toxic pesticides went all over me and the area. BUYER BEWARE
Design flaw fixed, works fantastic

Just received this item and SOLO included a large brass coupling nut that threaded perfectly onto each half of the joint. Extension allows me to reach the top of my apple trees. The coddling moths don't stand a chance.

I like the brass extension wand its perfect length but scared I'm going to break it because what its made of don't seem to be sturdy enough, wish it was made of the same material that the solo sprayer wand is made of.
Design Flaw will likely cause failure after limited use. Please Remedy Solo.

The wand, despite the picture, has two parts. Where the parts meet, there is a plastic coupling type screw. The threaded area is less than one inch and cannot bear the weight of the device. After one use, the threads started pulling out during my second use. Had I been spraying a toxic material, I would have been hurt. Fortunately, it was non-toxic. Regardless, the engineering is poor. A longer screw assembly would only require a few cents more worth of manufacturing and ensure a long life. This design is likely for planned destruction such that repeat purchase is needed. Another way to solve the riddle would be to splint the joint with duct tape and a metal or wooden dowel such that the joint is protected from gravity. Or the manufacturer could include a plastic snap on version. Regardless, the way it is now doesn't last and isn't worth the money, nor the wasted effort of purchasing and setting up spray, just to be stopped mid project by poor quality design.
