These are great when combined with Barge Cement
Mark Cutright•August 14, 2017
These are great when combined with Barge Cement. I've brought back to life a nice pair of Bostonians that I just wouldn't wear due to slipping with leather soles. No any more. Would buy again. USE HIGH QUALITY CONTACT CEMENT TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION. Or just take them to your shoe repair guy (or gal!).
Seems like exactly what I was looking for

Seems like exactly what I was looking for, except for one minor detail, I assume. I got two right feet! Shouldn't they be different?
Highly recommended. But you must have some basic skills

Soles are one size fits all. You glue it to shoe using Shoeglue making sure the whole sole is in contact with the shoe. Let it cure for 24 hours and then using a box cutter with a new blade carefully (don't cut yourself) cut around to size of shoe. Using a sander sand around to smooth it and BAM! You saved 40 bucks. Vibram has been around for many years and their products are outstanding. Highly recommended. But you must have some basic skills.
Incredibly durable

I work on a ranch where the dirt roads are covered with crushed asphalt. I've gone through leather boot soles in just a few weeks. I use these now on all my leather soled boots, with army-style metal horseshoe heel taps. I'm installing a third set of taps on one pair of boots right now, while this half- sole still shows zero wear. I should probably start cutting heel caps from these as well.
Warning: DIY skills required

Pretty decent sent of replacement soles, but you definitely need to have some DIY skills to use these replacement soles than simply bringing your shoes to the cobbler. Its hard to cut the soles after they've been glued to the shoe, so cut it as close to fit as possible. You'll need a pair of heavy duty sheers. I ended up using a flush trim finishing router bit to trim the replacement sole to the shoe after the glue has dried
