After several months of tendonitis and 3 weeks of wearing a boot......

I was bothered by a pain in my foot. Tried to walk through the pain for several months. (I walk 7 miles a day.) Went to Dr. Diagnosis was Anterior Tibial Tendonitis. Spent 6 weeks in PT. Pain came and went through out the day, with various intensity. Saw Dr. again. He reassured me the diagnosis was correct. Not wanting to go back in the boot, I order the brace. BEFORE THE BRACE ARRIVED, I had a nasty pain during the night. Condition improved after that. NOT totally gone... but, definitely better. I have been wearing the brace daily. Have started back to one easy exercise class. I feel more confident with the brace. FYI: I call it my Velcro Octopus. It is strange to put on,.... but ya get the nack. Happy I got it!

Podiatrist gave me one of these over 10 years for severe supination issues. I hated it, thought it was too bulky for different types of athletic shoes (cleats, bowling shoes, etc.) and wouldn't wear it. Ankle issue got so bad that my ankle would just collapse, so now I use it. I find it really isn't as bulky as some of the more customized braces you can get from an othodics manufacturer and fits into my steel-toed workboots just fine. It supports my arch and just slightly pronates the ball of my foot, which keeps me from rolling my ankle with every step. Unfortunately, I misplaced it and had to find a replacement fast. Found it on Amazon on Sunday night, ordered it, and it was delivered before 9 a.m. on Monday! That was some unbelievably fast service (and free shipping). I was worried that I would have walking issues until the replacement arrived, but didn't do without it even one day! This is a superior product, supporting my ankle and arch, and preventing supination. It even helps reduce the pain of my severe degenerative arthritis. I will definitely order from here again!

I tweaked the perineal tendon above my ankle while running. It was tender/sore during routine walking and very painful with any more pressure than that. I ordered the brace because the description and reviews suggested it would do the job of the perineal tendon and allow continued activity within reason. I stopped running for about a month, but I resumed exercise-walking and cycling daily with the use of the brace with no pain. I've since been able to return to running. I wear an ankle sleeve as a precaution, but often I'll go ahead and put on the brace as a preventative measure since it hasn't been long since the injury. Very pleased with this product.

First off I NEVER write reviews...good or bad. I just started training for a half marathon and running outside. I have never had ankle pain before. The further I run the more pain I have been in. I was nervous to buy this because of the expense. I did a ton of research and read all the reviews. This is 100% worth it! I ran with no pain today!!! A few things to note...make sure you buy the correct size (BioSkin has a size chart on their website), make sure the supplier is BioSkin If you buy from Amazon or buy direct from BioSkin (I read people had issues with returns because Amazon won't except this as a return because of the type of product so you have to go directly through BioSkin), and make sure you put it on correctly (it seems a little intimating but BioSkin has a step by step video that is easy to follow). I am a size 7 women's sneaker and bought a small...perfect fit.
